I'm paying $50 month bobtail through Progressive commercial,. and thats registered in Fla.

Far as I know,.. all you need is insurance and bill of sale to drive it. Possibly a temp tag when you go to bring it to Fla.

Personally I would just make sure its insured and then run it at night. Not sure if you know the way in to Fla on 301 and how to avoid the scale and just run that south. I do it all the time when my kingpin permit is expired and I dont feel like getting hassled till I get a new one.

    Thanks Hurst.

Your carrier be interested in a middle aged guy with a middle aged truck that is nice for its age.

I have a ton of mechanical experience in the marine world. These things are easy peasy to work on comparatively.

You mean to lease or to buy your truck?

Leasing on,.. you just need to be insurable with a good record,.. no bad CSA stuff that will effect his insurance. No bad 'recreational' things to get in the way with random pee pees.

He dumped 15 O/O's back in 2017 and all of the company drivers except 1 due to them constantly getting busted with logs not up to date or dumb enough to get busted with falsified logs. Or the one guy with a POS Century that kept getting put OOS for faulty equipment,.. gone. Oh yeah,.. and one guy flipped his RGN in a ditch while loaded. He has a few trailers he can lease to you as well. Odds are he will give you the crappiest one first till you can prove your not a trailer destroyer. LOL

But be warned,.. the 2 dedicated shippers he has in Chicago dont pay that good. And the rest is just loadboard stuff. Dont expect to get rich from him. He takes 20%. But you are free to operate how ever, when ever and where ever you want. Also,.. your customers are yours,.. he does not interfere with your business. Money is always on time,.. does not cheat you.

Buying your truck I doubt it. All he buys is new trucks.
