Hey guys, i saved up and got my 2nd truck. Now im lookin for a driver. No pressure, the trucks paid off. Any tips you guys can give me in regards to hiring and tax tips etc. Ive been flirting with the idea for awhile if u look at my posts history and i finally did it.

im planning to pay the driver a flat salary of $1500 a week for 5-6 days otr and reset at home.

Any tips and tricks will help. Thanks!

Gonna be hard to find a driver to work for that... unless youre offering a killer benefits package to go with it.

Are you paying 1099 or W-2?

Also, can you explain the benefits and drawbacks of each. I never worked as a 1099, it seems drivers prefer being paid w-2

Pay your own taxes, so you end up with less money at the end of the year.
