I couldn't agree more. If this kid had made up his mind to kill her, he would find some way to do it.

If the gun had been properly secured, he would have found some other way to do it as well.

 

AGREED! I to think he had made up his mind to kill her and would have used something else if he could not have gotten his hands on a gun.

I don't believe they can do that. He has already been found guilty, as a juvie. So that means he has been tried and convicted. They can't turn around and charge him again for the same crime.

It's a thing called "double jeopardy." Just like the second half of the game show.
