Ok guys, I've hauled everything under the sun except a reefer. So, how do trailer cleanouts work and where do you get them done? Anything special or important I should know? Headed out today for my first load.

Trailer washouts can be done at the blue beacon if theres not one around search for a truck wash nearby or ask the reciever if they know of any. Most truck washes will also do washouts
WREN Thanks this. -
That's great @keebler13579 and I appreciate the quick response.

Always make you run the reefer in accordance to what your bills say. Keep a push broom on board too. You won't have to washout every time but its good to run the broom through after every load

Shippers like to use reefers to cool down product. Reefers are only designed to maintain temps. In the summer this can be frustrating.
Follow the instructions on the BOL to the letter. Ignore what Billy bob on the loading dock says, he wont be paying for the load if it is rejected.
Carry a roll of white duct tape with you. Use that to cover exposed insulation. Also a gallon of oil & coolant for the reefer engine. ( same type as the truck 99% of the time )
People love to play forklift bumper cars inside reefers. Inspect the inside every time the doors are open and keep track of your load locks or straps. -
