I don't think those news are accurate... what I heard is that most of people and farmers support the strike... the same happened years ago when they stroke for other reasons and I was there and watched... I am originally from Brasil

In Brasil the reality is very different from ours here in the USA... in Brasil people do understand what truckers represent for their economy and besides, they are ALL suffering... not only truckers.. this is a fight that everybody is together... it is not affecting only truckers but the whole population and the truckers are fighting for ALL....

This sign here says, "Now it is for ALL. WE ARE ALL TRUCKERS"
Meaning that this strike is not like the one they did in 2015 (if my memory is right)... I was there then...
This time truckers are fighting for everybody... and people understand it there...

The situation in Brasil is pretty chaotic right now... they already replaced the president... with another corrupt one... they are all the same... CORRUPTION thru and thru... inflation up to the roof... people have no jobs, no money... how can you live like that? You can't.... they are in pretty serious bad situation down there...

Hey Mr. @MagnumaMoose ... as I mentioned in another thread, I didn't know about the strike until I spoke with my dad's wife this morning... She said they have been on strike for 6 days now and I think they will continue.... the government said they may use the army force to open the roads and dismantle the strike and they they will keep the fuel prices the way they are... We shall see...
Some airports are getting fuel from tankers that have been escorted by the army... and there's lack of food, schools and universities are closed, hospitals can't operate under these conditions...
I read that the workers at Petrobras are planning a strike this coming week as well...
I heard that fuel and medicine has been escorted and are allowed to go thru...
Every body is pretty fed up with the economy, the corruption... they are angry with the politicians not the truckers.... But I guess Fox News and the BBC don't want to show that...

If half of you had any balls and money in the
Bank we could pull this off in America.
    Get anything we want.
But nope, can't afford to miss one paycheck.
50,000 dollar pick up trucks and maxed out
    Credit cards are more important.
So we all have to bend over and take whatever
    They decide to give us.
One week we could bring this country to its knees.

The reality here is different... nobody here is starving... one way or another, truckers here can make some money and afford some living... besides, there are way too many people from ALLLL walks of life... who have very different opinions... and are not affected the same way...

From seeing the pictures of those truckers down there, it doesn't look like they're starving. Hungry maybe.

Hey @loudtom ... that was just a comparison to American truckers...
But actually some are starving and most can't afford to support their families and maintain their business due to sky high fuel prices, taxes and tolls...
