We were off the road, on the on ramp for a county road that had interstate access. No place for rubber neckers to see us, and decide to stop and watch.

@Broke Down 69, to settle the estate will take almost a year in most cases
So long drawn out process. Trust me, went through it with my Dad when he passed

Airborne, cke and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Yea posting notices, trying to get any debts your Mom owed reduced or wiped out. Have to open a separate estate account to pay the debts etc.. slow process

Airborne, whoopNride and cke Thank this.

On average, it could be a year to close things out. All depends on what kind of documents she had in place.
    probate system can add time.

It gets better, when things calm down, you can change focus.

Well, doc said i could roll again so i dispatched myself on a little bunny hop over to North Georgia to deliver a load of pipe tomorrow morning. Not really sure what im going to get for a backhaul yet, I'll work that out in the morning, for now I'm just glad to be back in my truck...the owner will probably wonder what the hell I'm doing, but right now i need me some road and alone time. Therapy of a sort.

    More later...

Wishing you well as always, man. Enjoy the solitude; I'm sure you need it after the week you've had.
