Broker keeps calling, wife is starting to wonder if I'm cheating on her.

    The brokers call me more than my wife does when I book a load. What is it with this trend?

    Book a load for next day pick up...
    Broker calls: Did you get the rate confirmation?
    Broker calls next morning: Are we good? What time will you be there?
    Broker calls: Did you make it over there?
    Broker calls: Just checking to see you made it.
    Broker calls: Did you get loaded?
    Broker calls: Did you get delivered?

    I know for a fact that both shipper and receivers do not care to check up on the driver's this much

    Man I remember when TQL called me at 3 am for a location check when I was at home. It's amazing how fast my wife will awaken when my phone goes off that late. If looks can kill, I would have been dead before I had a chance to explain.

    Book a load for next day pick up...
    Broker calls: Did you get the rate confirmation?
    Me: Yes I did. Thank you.. I'll call you if I have an issue. Once confirmation & load is completed, I'll call you.

    Broker calls next morning: Are we good? What time will you be there?
    Me: Did I call you with a problem? Then all is ok.
    What time did the rate sheet say I was supposed to be there? Did I call you with a problem? Then all is ok.

    Broker calls: Did you make it over there?
    Me: Did I call you with a problem? Then all is ok. Click.

    Broker calls: Just checking to see you made it.
    Me: Click.

    Broker calls: Did you get loaded?
    Me: Click !

    Broker calls: Did you get delivered?
    Me: CLICK!!!
    And blocks brokers phone number.
    When load is delivered without an issue, I call broker & politely let him know the load was delivered, send a copy of the signed BOL.

    Because the trend is for people to not do what they are supposed to or flat out lie. Especially with all the new carriers out there. Do you accept macro point or one of the guys that refuses?

    I installed macropoint and it's like they never even check on their end. Same with Navisphere

    Sad to say, but it's true. The amount of times I get a call to the effect of, "Yo, PPDCT, your truck that was supposed to be here at 0800 hasn't shown up yet, and it's 1015. Are you *sure* he's coming?" So, a quick check call in the morning alleviates some of that.
