For those of you that use Brokers all the time, here's why they call you so much

The broker feels since he/she lead you to freight.....Its "their" freight,And want to control "you" the carrier from start to finish.

The want to handle you and control you the best they can, They "The Broker" Feels since they worked so hard to secure that customer, They don't want you "carrier" to know anything about the customer they secured.

Simply put..If brokers are a pain, You avoid them.....

Brokers I pull for say just text or email when I arrive and depart shipper or receiver. Or every morning if it's a long load. Or if there's a problem they need to know about. Other than that... both of us would rather not use the phone if it isn't needed. No macro point. Nothing else. I guess it's an earned privilege (?) of excellent service over the years.

Even got them asking me what days and times I want for pickup and delivery now.... life is good.

That's because guys like you make life easy. If I don't have to dick around with figuring out where you're at when you were supposed to have been at the shipper two and a half hours ago, I'm a happy camper. I had to deal with that all morning. It's especially frustrating after we re-arranged yesterday's planned pick up for this morning... at 0700.

Been going on for years. A pain though when the phone isn't answered by said broker. This goes on even with company drivers when the company brokers a load through a broker.

I think he meant why make 1 phone call to a carrier like me when it will cost you say 90% of the total revenue when you can sell it to an unknown carrier for perhaps 75% of gross revenue.

Just a little thing called pick it up on time and deliver it on time and no general b.s. Aka service. I have an understanding with my brokers and it's always the same price. Easy for everyone.

If someone wants to rock the boat then this horse has other stables to call home. No biggie. I much prefer hanging out in the same stables if I can help it though.
