I get alot of people on the phone I cant understand either due to accents or mumbling or talking 100 miles an hour or talking on a crummy headset. I tell em straight up - I CANT UNDERSTAND YOU -
truadvocate, Jazz1 and 6wheeler Thank this. -
"Say again?"
"I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time hearing you. I blame the Army, I spent too much time around gun fire and loud music. Can you say that a little more loudly, and a little more slowly? Thanks!"
I get this all the time. It usually tracks like the above conversation. I try very, very hard not to be rude about it. It's not the driver/dispatcher's fault that English is a second, third, or fourth language, and his or her native accent makes it difficult for me. Folks are just trying to make a living same as me, and at the end of the day I may need their service.Smut, BoostedTeg and 6wheeler Thank this. -
