Not really, I much prefer going out in my new truck vs my 2014 I had. I enjoy being out when I drive and don't worry about getting stuck and having to pay ungodly money to be fixed. That 20-25K I spent every year was enough to make me hate the old truck. Only got stuck one time and It turned out to be way worse because of a tow company. Still doing a lawsuit over that issue that cost me 2 months. I will take my new truck any day of the year.

 

You had a perfect timing of ordering it.

I've heard stories that these new vnls could be lemons.

No doubt I did get a good deal before the prices jacked up. I have seen a few new trucks having a few good issues. Not many Volvos that I have seen other than the clamp issues on them. It is a 25-100 dollar issue if on the road to get new clamps and not wait on dealer to get them. I had that issue and managed to get them all off and new ones for less than 100 dollars.

 

Ergonomically, you think it is better than those models prior to 2018?
I think that the dashboard is a little downgrade - too small speed and rpm dials. Some folks also complain about the head lights.
That's just small details,though.

 

I have the new gen on the D13 and it is better in Fuel and seems to be better over all but only have 86K on engine. The inside is all about the same in the bunk areas I believe.

The D13 TC is now the second gen and a lot better then the first gen TC. If I had understood that I would had ordered that at the time. I did not like the first gen TC as it seemed to have more issues.

The new dash is way better than my old dash but I like the newer tech. I would had been ok with full digital dash myself but it works fine. I normally look at the digital Speed and watch the analog RPM when driving. All gauges seem to me to be very easy to see and no issues in my eyes on size.

The headlights are hands down better then the older models. On my 2014 I had to upgrade to LED's since I could not see at night. When it rained and on a blacktop I would be scared to drive with the lights. I almost wrecked out in Wyoming one night because of them and at that point made up my mind I would bite the bullet on price to own them. Or I was gonna have to stop running at night if it rained since I feared I would most likely wreck or run it an animal at night.
