Was following that auction, the last one i saw with lowish miles (sub 10k) went for a little over 100k. It's a shame that car has never been driven nor will it ever be as its now a museum piece.

Grand Nationals and GNXs were ahead of their time. As surviving examples get more and more scarce their values go further up(and mostly out of reach for Average Joes who appreciate these cars for what they are).
It kinda pisses me off because GM has track record of killing off cars that “get the formula right”. And most owners of cars like these would rather let them sit and die a slow death than run them or give them up.

I never did understand why people just let cars sit for no reason. Why even bother wasting money on buying it in the first place if you’re not going to enjoy it.

There's a guy like that in my hometown. Has a couple real nice super bees, one a 426 the other a 440+6 he keeps garaged that he just plain won't sell and he's on his 70s. Real nice guy but I was told once he was getting tired of being lowballed by those looking to make a quick buck.

    Maybe one day.

    mjd4277 and BoostedTeg Thank this.

Investment! Why do you think Ferraris and Lamborghinis coast that much, cause everyone know that in 25-30 years those cars will cost a fortune. Of course I am not applying it to mass car market...
But again right now if you will buy ANY special edition car, in 25 years it will cost way more that you payed for it now

It's an investment (to some) This one is probably a return of some 150% or more. depending on how much it cost new at the time. But I'm willing to bet it wasn't planned... Life happens and it turned out like that.
