What are you pulling it with?
Are you asking if a car hauling trailer that was made to be pulled from a bumper is safe to pull from a bumper? -

Refer to car manufacturer and load. have seen lady pulling 43ft RV and big boat behind RV.
Yelsew Thanks this. -
You need to know what the tow rating is on the truck and how much your trailer and load will weigh. You might want to scour the forum for posts on hauling with pickups. Most are not designed for heavy commercial use but will still cost plenty to operate.

Your truck should have had a paper inside the glove compartment like my last one did.
Height of center of gravity above pickup bed, maximum Class Three hitch weight (Expressed in maximum hundreds of pounds you could put from the tongue of the trailer onto the truck's bumper hitch ball.) Then you had towing capacity in a few thousands of pounds total including what the cab of the truck had in way of stuff and people plus the weight of any cargo in the bed. Ultimately you could not be above a certain total gross combination vehicle weight as well as electric braking among other considerations.
The hitches I use go to the frame near the rear axle with many bolts. Never off the bumper itself. It will just get ripped off towing say a simple log splitter.
You would be much better off in a dually with a 5th wheel inside the truck bed for a goose neck or a split level RV type trailer high enough to hook it.Yelsew Thanks this. -
bumper pull in my mind would be the old U-Haul bumper hitch. chained to the bumper.
you mean a receiver hitch.Yelsew Thanks this.
