My dog decided to make a chew toy out of the wire, didn't even mess it up too bad, but the cord needs to be replaced, can anyone please tell me how I go about doing this? I'm in a 670 15 volvo. I don't mind taking it to a service shop at a truck stop, but will they be able to do something for it? My dog is fine by the way lol, if she had been eating it much longer she would be a Cotten ball right now! Lol

    No
You can try to cut the wire and splice it back together.
I don't recommend it. You probably need a whole new cable.

Guessing you don't want to call your company? Lol

I don't know who would keep those .

I guess anybody that installs those might have some extra cables.
Some companies do their own installs so guess that further complicates it.

Good guess! Lol well I suppose it isn't too big a deal, after the week I've been through with them anyways I think they can't get upset with me over this, I'm just trying to get it fixed so I don't have to use paper logs, I get all my trip info sent on my cell, the only thing I use the idiot box for is my hours

I've seen the one in Chicago work on Q-comm; it's at the Thermo-king off Central just south of the Stevenson and just left of the end of 47th Street. I clicked the dot for Chicago on their site map and found Illinois Auto Central.

I'm familiar with many of the others in the Midwest, but I'll give good marks from experience with reefers gone down to the one in Chicago. Hope this helps.
