Keep looking, but good luck finding a reliable truck at an acceptable price in today's market.

If it’s actually a d12 not 13 those engines last a long time

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything newer than a 2k but I certainly wouldn't be scared of something with a blown engine either. You get to put something in built to your specs and know who did the work. It's a little piece of mind.

D12's are good motors. Just sold one with 1.65 Mill miles still running strong.

The 07 will have less headaches as far as emission crap and getting it fixed, simpler engine and only has EGR.. If you have a deleted truck you cant get anyone to work on it . How many miles on the volvo? Oil sample? Diffs? Trans? Clutch? Big gamble.

I'd buy the Volvo in your scenario but personally I wouldn't buy either. I'd gamble on a higher mileage Volvo 2014-2017 after the DPF/DEF issues were solved personally. I won't touch any truck of any make from years 2007-2013, those are all of the bad DPF/DEF years in my experience.

The problem is you don't have many options. If time is on your side, keep looking.

I don't think he has to worry about the year. He said the Volvo has been deleted. Truck will run good now.
