    hey guys ,
I'm buying a new truck . I found a Volvo with commins engine that has oil leak between engine and transmission. This is gonna be my first truck and I don't know if this is something serious. What do u guys think should I just buy it and fix it? Is it gonna cost me a lot?

Sounds like the rear main seal. Will need to remove the trans to replace that.8 hrs labor to do that at your favorite shop. Make sure to build that into the price.

That would mean pulling the engine and fixing the leak.
    Yes, that could be costly.
    Will be.

It doesn't matter what type of engine. If you have a leak there it will cost you a lot.

So, clearly you don't know much about the subject, do you have a mechanic you can trust who can look at it? If you don't know exactly where the oil is coming from no one here can tell you how bad it is. You should have a trusted mechanic as part of your business plan. You have that, right?
