WTF electricity caused the truck tires to burn? Too many things wrong with this article just doesn’t make sense.

I would have had the building seperated so it could be loaded length wise. Meh its junk now.

I don't know if they knew what they were doing?

We go oversized once in a while on US 64 and never have the length across the trailer. Usually the long side is nose to tail on the trailer.

If they are successful in moving other half of the home to new site, maybe build on to it. I don't know.

We sold a double wide once, came in at about 30 feet and 70 long. They had no trouble getting it off my land but lost a few tires settling her down on the state route.

With enough voltage and amps, electricity can burn anything! Rubber and/or metal alike!

In Machine shop work is a tool called an EDM. Electron Displacement Machining. It uses electricity to burn metal away to create a mirror image on the part.

. I don’t mean to be argumentative but rubber does not conduct electricity. I don’t believe brushing overhead wires that enough juice is there to jump (arc) between the wheels and the ground. I’m saying the article is wrong saying the fire started at the drive tires if the fire did start at the tires it was not electricity that did it.

google or search you tube " crane hits electrical wires" or here is a truck one on you tube:
Dump truck raises bed, hitting electrified line in North Lima
the current flows through the truck/crane/house/ and will energize through the tires. Also can cause the ground to be energized around the grounded areas like the rims or outriggers. I never believed it early in my career but HOLY COW! it does happen.
Spooky stuff. In 25 years as director of safety in the construction industry here in Chicago I've only seen it once with a total loss to the truck.
    P.S. I do not own a white Volvo.....yet

Ok so 40 ft wide load seems to be the first problem here?
