Refuse to go to california and deal with their draconian ######## and the sky high crime instead of paying thousands or 10s of thousands a year to comply with government palm greaseing?

Thanks for posting, I’m coming due for the actual test next month and didn’t know where I could get it done.

    Putting the CA BS aside..
It’s actually a good idea to get these modern choked out trucks tested every so often. If something isn’t right it could be driving down your mpg. Tests aren’t all that expensive considering.

Is your truck registered in CA? If not why do you need a CARB test. All the new trucks are CARB approved.

This FAQ sheet answers that question and more:

(You will see a question “Do I have to report for Clean Truck Check if my vehicles aren’t registered in CA?”)

Man that is crazy. Defiantly a new law since I was in CA last. This is nothing but a huge money grab for the state. Look at what the mega carriers will have to pay.

I understand your point, but there are multiple ways to comply if the fleet doesn't have an in-house program, including going to CTC providers, having mobile guys come to you, and installing a "continuously connected device" (basically a telematics device) that does the testing seamlessly in the background without downtime.

True man, but there is no need for all that CARB junk. CA has gone way too far. I get the need to cut down on pollution, but trucks are not the issue CA has. There is no need to have to go to a CTC or having a continuously connected device or have to be put in a database. With the systems in the newer trucks you are good. If the system has an issue, then it throws a code.
