CALIFORNIA DOT/EPA checking truck ECM for incriminating data

Clearly fake news. I saw the post on Facebook and it showed no evidence authenticating the "story".
Several legal hurdles involved. And our JJ Keller rep told us the CALtrans and Calif HP are not even allowed to touch the ELD, much less plug into your truck.
The data belongs to the owner of the truck and requires either a warrant or a subpoena.
I am not a lawyer but I watch them on TV.

California can't check everyone but in 2020 they have built in a catch-all to get the ones who have slipped through the cracks.
