California restricted lane ticket

    I got one there too, same situation. Cop handed me the ticket then opened up a binder full of business cards from local traffic lawyers, said pick one! LOL

    In SF Metro area, or LA & SD Metro areas, you are restricted to the two right lanes on 3 - 6 lane freeways

    Ok, I won't. Why? Well you are just making up stupid responses for getting a ticket for a well known issue.
    CHP does not play with trucks in #1 and #2 lanes. They haven't for 20 plus years.
    Even if you didn't know that, by paying attention and noting none of the day cabs and such were scrupulously avoiding those lanes should have made you wonder why....

    Gravel trucks simply back off, a wide load behind you? They can slow down too.... As for the lane being blocked, yes go into the lane for the 50 feet to go around, and if you get a ticket (You would have to be doing something very stupid to get one) that's what courts are for.

    Just to be in a restricted lane as you don't like the flow of traffic, well tough!
