You're asking me to reference laws that don't exist.

No comparison between the two carriers. One accident does not take away the fact we travel over 80 million miles between fatalities. As a whole, Swift is not even a fraction as safe a carrier as Walmart. Not even a comparison. Every statistic proves this, and to imply it is stupid.

Not directed to you...plus I bet if that Walmart driver slept during his off duty time that accident would not have occured...

The laws vary from state to state. When a driver travels between these states, the laws change he/she would be subject to.

Ok I'm easy to please. Pick a state and prove what you claim. You also claimed cameras in trucks violate federal wiretap laws. Federal laws are the same everywhere. So again, post the laws and prove what you claim.

Start with 18 US Code § 2511 Interception and disclosure of wire, oral, or electronic communications prohibited.

I have nothing to prove to you. Your opinion does not decide such a case, nor does mine. That is what a court is for. I have posted a Federal statute pertaining to wiretapping. Show me the statute that would allow an employer to listen in on any employees audio conversations without their consent.

I suggest you read subpart (2)(c) of that code. Here's a quote.

    1. Swift puts the camera in the drivers truck.
    2. Swift makes the driver sign a consent form or forfeit their continued employment with the company before allowing said driver back into said truck.
    3. Everything you've been ranting about goes out the window.

So I say again, no lawyer in his or her right mind would even consider such a suit as you suggest.

With the size of Swift, and regularity of incidents/accidents involving their trucks, it's only safe to assume they have strong set of attorneys. Attorneys that did their best work to cover every legal aspect of this before they let their safety team pull the trigger on driver cams.
