Can a law enforcement officer put a truck driver out of service if he or she suspects that the truck driver is suffering from a serious health issue, regardless of what the truck driver’s medical card says?

Yes, I know a DOT officer or cmv certified officers can.
Don’t use “I don’t feel well” as an excuse for anything during an inspection..you can be sidelined.'88K100, Toomanybikes, Deere hunter and 4 others Thank this. -
“Under federal and state guidelines (such as 49 CFR § 391.41 and § 392.3), an officer can sideline a driver immediately if they observe an apparent medical disqualification or obvious impairment.”
Toomanybikes, Deere hunter, Grumppy and 5 others Thank this. -

unfortunately that is not true. If a LEO, suspects (visual) a driver has medical issues, he has to call medical to ##### the situation. If the LEO doesn't do that and something happens (driver causes an accident) due to his medical condition, the Officer and his Department can be sued and pay the consequences , therefore it is the officer's duty.
