Can an employer garnish wages if you accidentally damage a tractor while backing?

    Not your truck not your problem. Always look in fuel tank to inspect fuel level if you are not familiar with truck. Inaccurate fuel gauges are often the reason guys run out of fuel.

    Exactly. Unless the act was intentional. The cost of doing business, even if you are negligent, is on the employer. If you are an owner-operator that is another matter, in which case the lease controls.
