Can DOT Highway patrols search your truck

It has been my experience the pigs can do what ever they want. The constitution means very little these days.

any dang time they freaking feel like it...
you should never be on the road with anything you dont want them to see.
PERIOD.
it has nothing to do with the constituion toostroked.
Its a FMCSA and DOT.
you are in a COMMERCIAL vehicle...it can and will be inspected and searched when ever they feel a NEED to do so.

I had my truck searched going into ports.

I always put my radar detector in the trash bag when the time arises.

maybe one day one of those pigs may save your life out there on the road someday....then again with your attitude towards them....maybe they wont and just let you die right where you are...

Over my years of life I have come to learn a few things and when some one dissrespects the law by calling them pigs..Which at a much younger age I did too...is because they busted your ### for doing something stupid...its not they're fault..they are just trying to make a living too...you KNOW DOING THEY'RE JOB... as I grew older and stopped being stupid and breaking the law I have come to give a great amount of respect to the lawman...if I have a problem with a cop I dont fight him in the street...I CANT WIN that battle but I sure can win in court...your total dissrespect for the law men and women who protect us and our homes and families. disgust me and now i have no respect for you either

 

A cop could say basically anything gave him "reasonable suspicion"

"If" you did get caught with something, I think them having probable cause becomes unimportant at that point

"If" you don't have anything, then there's really nothing to worry about, but they're cops and can basically search what they'd like ultimately unless for maybe like a locked glovebox.

As is in most areas, even with personal cars, a cop has the right to get in your driver seat and search within an "arms length" of the interior. Anything else will require your permission or a warrant

 

How often do you run illegal?
