    I guess I can't be a trucker and I'll see if I can do something else. Anyone got career suggestions for me? I'm unemployed since August 15, 2008. I have a Mechanical Engineering degree yet I couldn't get a job in that time doing CAD, Mech Eng, Mech Designer, or Technical Writer jobs. If I can't do a minimal $45,000 / year CAD Drafter job then I don't know what else to do.

    Otherwise, I would quit on life and just live on $1171 monthly SSDI in the Philippines. My brother controls my SSDI and trust money, so probably I'd only have $800 monthly in the Philippines to spend on food and enjoyment.

    I played the game Euro Truck Simulator 2 for over 157 hrs. Great Truck Driving game. Good practice simulation on backing up, but I used external views to back up, not in cabin mirrors like a real truck.

    It doesn't hurt to try...the worse that can happen is that you'll just be told no. My advice is to go talk to an employment counselor.
