im looking to buy a truck that has only 10k on an Overhaul.
I’ve never dared to switch to synthetic blend or full synthetic on my truck because I’ve heard horror stories engines leaking or locking up after a switching to better oil.

But on that truck after an overhaul, does it mean I could switch to full synthetic or I would still have to worry about oil pump or some other components ?

Yeah but you only have problems when you dont step the switch ie blend, then to full. Two different types of filters and dump the oil on the blend anytime after 2K. Full synthetic with a good filter can get you 25K to 100K between oil changes and with a fresh rebuild you should be able to get the latter or close to.

    Blacka and Greggg Thank this.
