I will update. It is easy enough to go to that truck stop and ask.

Why not just call the card company? They would have a record off all transactions.

If it was at a Loves and he used his reward card, he can pull it up on their app. On the app it is under transactions. Click on it and it will pull up the receipt.

Flying J and pilot will allow him to share it too, from their app.

    You can get a receipt.

But not without his credit card. As that's how they would pull it up.

Maybe time and fuel island if you know that.

I always text a pic of receipt to my boss.
He has envelope with cash sitting in my truck next morning.

I don't think I've ever had a preauthorization with my credit card.
Had one card immediately shut down though. LOL. Because it wasn't common to purchase $300 from a gas station.

Isn't that a checking account thing?

    Agreed 100%.

The company is 100% responsible to figure out how to pay THEIR bills 100% of
the time. That is why the company driver doesn't earn much money....he is ONLY
the driver.....NOT the companies banker. Sounds to me the driver needs to find
    another company to work for.

So the company sends the driver out with their truck......to haul their freight......
and they drop the ball and don't make sure the driver can get fuel.....so he can complete
their load and now this same company is harassing him after he used his personal money
to complete THEIR job for THEM.

Having said all that.....any driver out here knows you have to keep the receipt.

Don't be so quick to judge.

There are lots of reasons why a driver might pay.

I've had instances where the card was lost. Or unreadable. Or broken.

I've had instances where cards were maxed out. That one goes to the verdict.

I have no problem paying just to keep moving. I've yet to worry about payback.

    locals don't use comchecks.

I only had 1 otr that used em. But try getting a check at night.

I should say when office is closed. Specially on the weekend.
