Can I install a Eld in 2000 year truck 99 motor

    Hey I recently bought a 2000 Freightliner fld120 the motor Says 99 The gentleman I bought it from was running ELD exempt, what I want to know is can I install a ELD unit, it has a 6 prong plug up and I see they sell the omnitracs with the six prong set up if anyone knows please help me out would like to take the truck over to Landstar

    It isn’t about the connector but the protocol used to communicate from the ecm.

    Ask Qualcomm, they can tell you what model will work with the year engine.

    OK don't know if Qualcomm and omnitracs are made by the same company I'll look into that would they need the vin or the serial # if you know
