Can solo regional ever get a lower 48 run to a specific location?

    Can regional solo IDC drivers (western 11 in particular) ever be dispatched out into the lower 48 for time off per special request, or is this just never done? I think I asked a recruiter once and she said she didn't know for sure either way.

    I'd say talk to the FM and see. I don't see how it could be a problem. We're not dogs on a leash....

    Interstate is now using Manhattan for planning and an Ops Manager told me they can put in a note that the driver wants to run East. So it's possible, but I would imagine it could be tough to get you to Atlanta on March 7th for example. I think specific request like that could be a challenge.
