Sorry if a repost. Didn't see a similar thread here.

Anyone know? Can we fuel at Flying J's/Pilots yet? I wanna earn my points and I'm tired of being routed everywhere else. Double points through the end of September too at J and Pilot. I'm missing out!

    harlycharly55 Thanks this.

Swift is going all out to cut their PJ business ... by the end of the month o/o's will start getting a $.05 discount to fuel at TA/Petro.

Negotiating tactic ... When you're the biggest TL carrier, you want the biggest discount ... Don't get it, send your trucks someplace else.

O/O's can fuel anywhere they want ... so they'll pay the o/o's to fuel someplace else.

They send us fuel routes but now they don't include Pilot and Flying J, probably my favorite of the big stops.

Now we are sent to Loves, Petro and T/A.

What I don't like about it though is it's somewhat inconvenient for us now. I was sitting at a Pilot the other day and they told me I had to go elsewhere. I guess it helps for Swift to have that much pull.

I just hope J and P give in soon so we can go back to normal.

My company is exactly the opposite actually.
No Fuel Stops on our routes.
And we fuel at PFJ exclusively (with a few exceptions)

Swift gives us fuel routes but it's more of a suggestion the computer makes. I rarely follow it anymore as I try to keep my fuel at or below 1/2 tank a lot of the time. It's slightly more inconvenient but if we need to refuel off the route we just send in a freeform message or call them up.

I "heard" a lot of this had to do with the big FSC scandal at Pilot. They got caught ripping everybody off and thought the trucking company's were too stupid to notice. They just paid a huge fine. I'm sure they stole from Swift too and now Swift is giving their business to the other majors.
