So as you all know the Alberta’s oilfield is in the toilet right now. We are seriously considering bringing our tankers down south to keep them working.

We are in the first stages of looking for work. We will probably take a month off and go 2 weeks in each place to hit the ground running trying to get face to face contacts.

Anyone have any places I should start looking?
I’ve been looking at houses at noticed houses are pretty cheap in Fort Worth, TX!! I wouldn’t mind being there if I can get a decent house.

Ft. Worth is almost 4hrs east of the Permian Basin
How many trucks you got, and what type? (crude, , vac., water, diesel/gasoline, etc)

We have 2 trucks + trailers.

We have tankers in which we currently haul flowback water, produced water and under 700 density oil.

    Our tankers hold 44,000Liters

I would not come to South or East TX at this time. I've been an O/O for over a year here in South TX and we are getting our ### handed to us. Will probably make a separate post on what I am seeing and this situation.

Are they 407 trailers? Are you looking to lease on to someone else? I talked to two companies in North Dakota yesterday one is so busy they're bringing on 16 guys in the next few weeks the other is sitting drivers

Yeah, they’re pressure trailers - up to 60 psi if need be.

    Pictures of said trucks

My experience has been nothing over $110/HR here in South Texas to the truck. Maybe others have seen better but there is a lot of new competition in the area. We have companies down here I have never seen or heard of in 6 plus years of doing this. We got a small fleet from Montana down here working right out of our truck stop as one example.

I hear Wyoming is stating to pick up more drilling rigs as producers move out of the Permian of West Texas due to the pipeline issue. I would find out more about that, North Dakota, and then possibly look at SE New Mexico.

@Rockdoctor, I think these setups would be better in Wyoming or here in ND, because I believe Texas is an 80k state, correct?
