    I have changed some uk pounds into Canadian dollars I'm not sure if the $100.00 bills are a new batch' but they almost feel like rubber .....the other notes I have feel like notes should like paper 'also the $100.00 bills actually have a transparent strip running through them at one end

    They are slowly changing all the new bills to the plastic kind .. so far100,50,20 are now plastic ... The mint claims they will last 3 times longer ..

    All the bills have been released now. The 5 and 10s in the last few weeks. Got my first 5 yesterday. The banks were required to take the $50s and $100s out of circulation when they were deposited where as for the rest they will be removed when they are worn out/damaged which is a normal process anyway.
