Hi all,
I have had my CDL for a few months or so now but cant get hired anywhere. I have a clean record but super inexperienced.
Just looking to get experience, high pay later.
One place interested is Krielkamp but they want 7 months of contract or they will charge me $7,000. They do reefer live loading.
The other is Melton flatbedding, which i am suppose to start next week. Though, I do not feel confident at all driving or backing let alone flatbed requirements. I have doubts about even passing their driving and backing in orientation.

Western dairy transport - (waiting to hear back)
Schneider

Schneider hired me on -- when others would not.
If you are going to try for Western Express -- you may as well also give Schneider a call, & ask about the status of your application (unless you have already been rejected by them).
Schneider has at least TWO terminal locations in the Chicago area.
These nearby locations would offer you some serious advantages -- especially as a rookie driver.
If you successfully get hired by them -- just ask for more time on a trainer's truck (one week simply isn't enough
).
