Hello, has anybody ever tried canceling with the eld company motive formerly keep truckin? Their customer service is hands down the worst I have ever encountered. I've been a customer for four years, however now I no longer need their services. I've tried to close my account multiple times only to get a run around response, never getting to a clear path on closing. Recently my credit card was stolen so I had to cancel it, when my monthly payment didn't go through I received a call from motive requesting payment. I refused and once again requested to close the account. The person denied my request stating I was under contract then sent me an email stating if I don't pay it will go to collections. They claim once it auto renews you are locked in for the full term, however that's not the way salesman explained it to me when I bought it. My question is, has anyone else here dealt with these crooks. I'm not looking for truckstop lawyers just personal experence. I have never had anything sent to collections in my life so I'd like to know how to be prepared for it when it comes to it.

Document, document. You say you tried to cancel? Look thru your phone, find date, time, duration. Write that down. *or online document* It’s possible you tried to cancel before auto renewal? If you had blocked, contested earlier charges even better. But after you tried to cancel. Contest it with your credit card company. If you honestly had not noticed it before ID theft. Just to have it on file.

To cancel a MotiveWave subscription, you need to contact Sales at least 5 days before your next payment is due. If you purchased through PayPal, you can also cancel through your PayPal account. For 6-month leases, the subscription simply expires at the end of the period.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    For Auto-Renewing Subscriptions (3-month):
    • Contact Sales:
Email sales@motivewave.com to cancel, including the email used for the purchase.
    • PayPal:
If you purchased through PayPal, log in to your account and cancel the subscription there.
    • Timing:
Ensure you cancel at least 5 days before the next payment to avoid charges.
    • No Refunds:
There are no refunds for any remaining time on the subscription after cancellation.
    For 6-Month Leases:
    • No Auto-Renewal:
These leases do not auto-renew and expire at the end of the 6-month period.
    • No Refunds:
Similar to auto-renewing subscriptions, there are no refunds for unused time.

I'm under the impression motivewave and gomotive are two different entities we are referring to.

I sure is. I really couldn't believe it myself, until I started reading their negative reviews and complaints to the better business bureau. It seems this is by design, I would have dismissed most of their complaints had I not witnessed this myself.

Just curious if you are using AI at all because I've seen similar formatting and if so what do you use?

I use motive. And just look up their info and that is what it showed step by step.

Tell them you’re taking your truck to a company that already uses Motive for their logs and you no longer need account. That’s what I did back in 2023 and had zero issues cancelling mine.
