Car rear-ends Truck. North of KC I-435

Its amazing how people survive some of the wrecks nowadays. Crumple zones and airbags save a ton of lives. The vehicles they pull them out of, its hard to believe someone could survive.

 

I watched a video about offset crashes and ICC bars. It would seem an upright at either end of the bar with triangular braces would prevent a fair number of these types of deaths. Of course, more attentive drivers would prevent nearly all of them.

 

I rolled passed an accident one night and the car hit the trailer so hard it knocked the tandems off. Needless to say the driver did not make it. I looked up the news article a few days later and they said the guy was twice the DUI limit.

 

When I was in training. Somebody in a toyota pickup ran in to england going up parleys. That was almost 20 years ago.

Somehow they managed to go completely under the bumper and didn't stop till the bed reached the bumper.

 

Oh the pains of not paying attention to ones driving.

I really hope you didn't think they'd go the other way....

 

These are junk because the ends just fold.
