The LA times are pro "SPEND BIG NOW" on every issue. And a mandate passed recently that would go into effect 24 years from now is perhaps one of the silliest things I've ever heard of. -
The article lies about the causation of the pollution and the effects of diesel on the population.
however legally speaking, with the SC as it appears to be, there may be an issue with this idea of a green new deal becoming reality, I hope the court recognizes the fact that we as citizens are allowed access to every state with what even means of transport we choose.TheLoadOut and petefan4000 Thank this. -
Its an opinion article, not that tgat makes it any betterpetefan4000 Thanks this. -
Oh California again
God prefers Diesels, jsnell, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
At some point there won't just be two classes of trucks, but drivers as well. You won't be able to drive in Mexico's Gay District with just a regular CDL. You'll need a special permit or endorsement just to drive a truck there. That will drive up costs briefly, until they allow drivers from the rest of Mexico to haul their freight. You'll haul freight to the border and drop your trailer in a customs yard, just like all the other freight going into Mexico.

Hmmmmm......I don't think it's a bad thing to clean up the air....a place as congested as California, it's definitely going to be an issue.

Is smog blown across the pacific.
not from emissions in the state.
it gets trapped in the bowl of the Los Angeles basin and gets concentrated.
Then again just follow the $$$. -
Clean up the dirty homeless first. Thats a major source of pollution in that state.
