I don't know that I agree with that as a blanket statement. I hired a felon once, hired him twice as a matter of fact. Won't hire him a third time. He was very competent at his job, but he lacked the desire to better himself. He was not overly loyal either. He did however keep a truck spotless! He was overly sensitive to any and I mean any perceived insult. The littlest thing would really upset him. I don't think any of this had to do with his time( except maybe the spotless truck). Each person is different. And each person dersevrves a shot and some respect until proven otherwise.

 

I have mixed feelings on this. I think .10 cents a mile is shameful and disgusting and the company is fully exploiting you do to your situation. They proudly advertise .10 cents a mile and it just rubs me the wrong way. I hope you can do a limited amount of time at Carolina Cargo and get out of there. Protect your CDL at all costs and continue putting in applications and move on. Good luck to you.

Seriously? They're purpose-built for confined spaces, oil changes on lifted pickup trucks, peewee football coaches that won't intimidate the kids, shoe polishers, the list goes on....

 

And punching you in the crotch for throwing them at a bar...

 

OP, overall, how are you liking driving? Is it all coming together for you, with shifting up & down, backing, docking, etc? What are you guys mostly hauling? How much longer with trainer?
