    Got a couple 2006 KW T2000 w/c-16, 10sp road ranger, 3.36 ratio, 22.5 low profile tires.
    What would be a ball park figure for mpg? We’re figuring on flatbed, or drop deck duty.

    My guess would be mid 5's. Maybe higher because of flatbed, I would be surprised if you got 6 or better.

    Way too many variables to guess accurately. 4 to 6 mpg depending on what speeds you're running and whats on the deck.

    We’re just trying to get a rough idea, other than a few non-major issues, these trucks were parked when business dropped off in 2018-2019. Pulled them out of the fence row, and now starting to go thru them. One has the drive shaft bearing on the rearward differential is out, air compressor was shot but switched out with a truck that was in a wreck. The truck that was in the wreck will be the ‘donor parts’ truck for the other two.

    I’m no CAT expert by any means, I recall reading that was one of the offerings KW had in those model years.
    I’ve been told the c-16 of that era was a double turbo? I will double check the vin, and engine # latter next week when back at the yard.

    If it’s how it left the factory it wouldn’t have a C16 paired with a 10 speed. KW would’ve made them spec an 18 with a heavier driveline because of the 2050 torque. A C15 would be 1850 torque from the factory. And any Cat in 2006 would’ve been a twin turbo Acert. Either way, you should have a couple pretty solid engines. Won’t be the best on fuel but they will get the load moved.

    im not a fan of zuckerburg ... but cat engine masters fb group is pretty keen on getting fuel mileage out of cats

    C13 is more likely with other specs aka the oil burner version in that era
