At Truckman Transport (MC# 1430814), we empower our owner-operators with the freedom and support to run their own business while enjoying a steady flow of freight and high earnings. We are seeking experienced and dedicated CDL-A Owner Operators for local Texas and long-haul routes.

Equipment and Resources:

• Must own your own semi-truck.
• Comprehensive equipment checklist (straps, chains, binders, tarps, coil racks, pipe stakes, etc.) that drivers must have. You can bring your own equipment, but if you don't have some items, they can be purchased. Our dispatchers work hard to source loads for you, and we don’t want to miss out on loads because you do not have the proper equipment.

Expenses:

• Insurance: Approximately $230 - $280 per week (includes General, Auto, Cargo, Trailer Interchange, and Physical Damage). Price based on your MVR scores and value of your truck.
• Trailer Rental: Rent one of our clean aluminum combo spread axle trailers for $175 per week if you don't have your own.

• Communicate effectively – keep open lines of communication with dispatchers and clients.
• Understand industry realities – while our dispatchers work hard, they can't perform miracles; teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Ensure proper handling of freight to prevent damage during transit.
• Assist in truck maintenance by performing routine checks and reporting any mechanical issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• At least 1 year of flatbed experience, or willing to take our securement training.
• Experience operating a variety of trucks such as refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers is preferred.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
• Must own your own semi-truck.
