Basically you touch every part and I don't remember the exact words but you say I'm checking to make sure it secured to truck not, lose, broken or missing. If it rubber hoses you say making sure they are flexible and not rubbing on anything.

Start at the drivers door and bills, fire extinguisher secured, proper pressure etc and go through the permit books to support the tags and so on then work in the incab air leak test process and start the walk around at the drivers door. Top to bottom of the cab and take two steps towards the front and work your way down top to bottom pointing out EVERYTHING in the engine bay on that side and be sure to say the state approved wordings as shown in any manual for the state test. Work your way around the truck going over eveyrthing. IT will be a few minutes. There is awful lot of stuff to be examined and explained to the tester who has seen and heard it a thousand times before.
OK OK OK OK!! OMFG get in and drive. We gotta GO.
Ty sir. Let's go drive. Where to Sir? -
Not sure about other state but KY less is more. No hoods bumpers paperwork dome lights clean floors dashes etc.
Weve got it down to an art here. Were probably a couple hundred passes in a row without a failure.
