Im looking for a school near Denver and I have been to CDL College in Henderson for a looksee. It is priced right for me and Sage won't tell me their prices unless I go in for a meeting and their hours for that don't work for me. Is CDL college any good? I'm sure I can get my CDL there but if there are better places I want to check them out.

Depends on what company you want to train you. Not all CDL schools/colleges are recognized by all trucking companies. U.S. Truck Driving School (in Denver) would be a good place to look into.

I went to CDL College about 5 years back. It was a good program for me, I really liked my instructors. Do make sure the company you're interested in accepts them, though. I know back then Schneider, Gordon, and Haliburton drivers were attending with me.

If you want to work for Dairy Farmers of America in Greely; Sage is the only school they hire from.
Most companies hire from about any 160 hr. cdl school.
    Hazmat/tanker companies are pretty picky.
Navajo Express and System Transport in Denver will hire from about any 160 hr. school.

What constitutes a 160hr school? Is that all of the school or just the driving portion?

That's everything, classroom, yard work, road work. Four week school.

Here's a couple of good jobs if you have tanker/hazmat endorsements:
    Trimac Transportation - Denver, CO
    $62,000 a year
Whether you’re a recent CDL school graduate, a former military service member or an experienced driver, Trimac Transportation has the perfect career opportunity...
Trimac is picky about which school you graduate from.
Love's Travel Stops - sometimes hire new grads. Must apply online because individual truck stops don't hire cdl drivers. Deliver diesel & DEF to Love's Travel Stops.
