Looking to get my CDL-A any suggestions on schools to check out? Or schools to run away from?
I'm thinking best to line up the job before starting class on my dime. That way employer can't hold it over my head and give crappy loads while I'm locked in as an indentured servant.
Once licensed thinking I'll go OTR as kids are grown up doing their own thing. Might try team if I find a partner but that's another thread for another time.

Do you want a trucking company cdl school or a private cdl school?
Either is OK. A company isn't going to deliberately starve you because they need to make money with that expensive truck you'll be driving. -
From my research looks like Magnum might be a good fit if their training is somewhat close by.
Although if I found a carrier that took me from wet behind the ears newbie to independent driver in 4 to 6 weeks that could work too. -

Two dogs limits your choices, but, it is what it is.

To be hired you must graduate from Wilson's cdl school in Springfield MO.
Transportation, food, lodging is provided for the school.
