Sounds like a step in the right direction. Now if we can get CRE to follow suit along with Werner, Swift, CRST and all the others feeding at the trough of so called 'training' we will be getting somewhere. :)

Yes you are right I personally saw it in 2008.
I watched that group dissolve before my eyes. All sorts of stuff.
Kept in touch with a couple and they in turn with others. Most ended with trucking.
CRE knew this would happen. They just recycle the trucks.
    NEXT.
So sad that they would make money off the enthusiasm and hope of those young and sometimes desperate people.

This is a reality in most industries but especially the trucking industry. They all go cycles and always ending at "they suck" and then they get eaten by an outfit that sucks worse.

they also dropped out of the flatbed division. something tells me either a big going out of business sale or closure may be on the horizon. celadon has bought out a few companies, one of which i once worked for, mostly for the hauling contracts they once had.

only time will tell, Celadons future.

A lot of companies build on a "niche boom". They put most of their eggs in one basket, then at some point the bottom drops out of the basket and they find themselves in a desperate cash flow situation, having not been more diversified. These critical times typically lead to choices they would not ordinarily make in an attempt to keep their head above water.

For celadon, their solitary golden goose that got real sick was the automobile industry in 2007-2008. They lost their forward momentum and never recovered.
