About two years ago I got pulled over in my personal vehicle by the NV highway patrol for using my cell phone while driving. I also didnt have my seat belt on and got cited for both, neither of which carry any points and do not show up on my MVR for the first offence. I believe they will both show up on a criminal background check that I'm sure companies run before they hand over the keys to millions in liability. I've learned my lesson and use hands free and always wear my seat belt now but that doesn't change the fact that I ####ed up and got caught. Will these two misdemeanors make decent starter companies toss my application in the trash can?

I've never heard of a traffic ticket showing up on a criminal background check. It's an infraction, not a crime per se.
flood, CoyoteExpress, austinmike and 5 others Thank this. -
You can't drive it like a clueless 4-wheller. Bye, Bye. -

Don't sweat it. And don't divulge that info unless asked specifically about it.

100 in Maryland mandatory arrest even in my fast GT back then. I think the magic number was 95. I would have her close to 140 if the outside air temperature is less than 50 but above 35 and foggy for high humidty. It really makes cold dense air in that high rise manifold and boy she will get up and git.
A reasonable charge would be racing which is automatic 12 points plus and results in instant revocation and so on. And they would be just getting started.
That time in my life was not a happy time and frankly Im glad Im past all that silly stuff now. It would have been so easy to see that tie rod snap and off into a house full of kids we go through the curve.
DUI here in Arkansas is a misdemeanor first rodeo. However this link shows where within 5 years you can actually create a felony. Covers a variety of states.

If you're really worried, buy your own background check. Temp agencies can sometimes set you up with a good one.
