Cell phones....It’s getting real

What? I was talking on the phone..

 

The dude was taking an online survey about how he felt about texting and driving a commercial vehicle. I guess he got to finish after the impact.

If my eyes are not deceiving me that is not an 18 wheeler, that's a box truck.

 

Cause and effect at its finest. He's lucky to have only received jail time.

 

There was one a while back where the person who was on the phone with the driver got punished as well. If I know someone is driving, I will hang up. I don't want to be the partial cause of anyone's death if I can help it. The survey taking computer probably cant be charged, but that doesn't mean you can't get your wife in jail for it if she knows you're driving with the phone to your ear.

Less than 5yrs in jail for manslaughter doing something stupid.

Doesn't seem like they had any problems with poor drivers. Just equipment issues.

 

Sadly, there's people out there who can't even walk down a sidewalk while talking on the phone. I see truck drivers way to often who clearly cannot interact with a phone while driving. Some are even bold enough to hold the phone to their ear while driving in broad daylight.

Mine is all hands free. I can make calls, send texts and emails, and even have the phone read messages out to me....without ever touching my phone.
