Makes me wonder if Moyes sees the potential to destroy the LTL sector for profit. That'd sure be neat.

He also stepped down as CEO over the summer, so that his name wouldn't be directly attached to the destruction of Central.

Then again, in a less conspiratorially-minded vein, maybe he just sucked at ltl.

 

Seems like Moye's bought CFL out of an earlier bankruptcy in the early 2000's.

Supposedly Moyes owned the business, his wife owned the terminals. She got those in their divorce. Central was having to pay rent to use their own terminals. With that situation, the company was doomed no matter how much freight we were moving. I say we, because I have worked there for the last 8 years.
