I started my orientation on Monday 11/04/24. It was completed on Thursday 11/07/24. Very hands on training. They care about making sure you know how to do your stuff, and encourage questions. They have their own rooms that you sleep and shower in. Usually you share with another driver in orientation. On site, they have a café with very cheap food and their own chef, who is absolutely fabulous. They also have a driver's lounge with coin operated laundry, shower rooms, couches and a tv. In the next room, they have a game room, with Nintendo Switch and PS5, and a computer monitor ready to be connected to your tower or laptop. I left my company the previous week before orientation and they got me out there and let me stay with them all weekend. I've only taken one load, because they send you home to get your stuff first thing. I'll post more updates as my career here continues. This is the first company I've been to that really makes me feel cared about. Here's a good summary of their pay package and benefits:

    Pay: 60cpm
    Tarp: $100
Various routes but the money maker is all 48.
They use shop cord, not bungees.
Against company policy to lift your own tarps.
They teach you to patch your tarps as well.
    HSA and FSA.
Free health insurance for drivers. Company insurance for families. Vision and dental.
5 days a month to spend at home, at your discretion.
    Kenworth T680s. Automatic and manuals.

How much previous experience do they require?

How much (if any) of that needs to be flatbed?

Do they do conestoga loads, as well?

They hired a guy fresh out of CDL, but let him go because he ran a red light on the driving test. My guess would be no experience required lmao.

Yes they do Conestoga loads. On the ALL 48 route, we'd tarp about 50-60% of the loads.

If against company policy to lift tarps -- how (else) do you handle this task?

Either they have specific cranes to do it or the customer's forklifts are required to lift them for you.

They seem to be advertising a lot for drivers in GA & AL.

    Ditto...for other flatbed carriers....:p :D
