Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

Patience paid off. I'm headed towards the house tomorrow. I don't unload until Tuesday morning but that gives me an excuse to get away from home and run some last minute errands. I'll be in a cabin drinkin cold beer in 3 days!! No phone service and no worries! Prepare for fish stories soon, lol.

 

I'm in WVC to turn in my expletive deleted truck which has been sold. And, as I'm working on the details a guy comes in who needs out of his truck asap so he can be with his dad who has terminal cancer. Since he lives in the NW, he wats on Pasco where he can be home daily. Sooo, I'm making a buisness decision for a non business reason; not really my style. I'm going to lease his truck. I was going to lease anyway, but I was taking my time for the right deal.

Most may not understand what I say next, but I'll say it anyway. This is what happens when you pray for direction. So, when all is said and done, I actually feel pretty good about this.

 

Are there any dedicated solo runs in the northwest, kinda want to get a few things answered before I make up my mind.
Are there any Northwest central drivers here.

 

Good luck to you. There will be days when you wonder what on earth you've done... There will also be settlements big enough to make you feel like a very smart man. If you are a very smart man, you'll save when that happens because as soon as you get comfortable the tables will turn and you'll be reminded, this is trucking an nothing is certain.

To anyone that's been to the Central training facility, is there a Walmart near by? I leave to come out that way next Sat and I don't want to carry a sleeping bag and pillow in a separate bag. I'd rather just buy one when I got out that way. I'd appreciate the input.

 

Yeah Walmart is around. The van goes to Walmart almost everyday. U just have to catch it.

I have succeeded!! My 71 year old student passed his upgrade yesterday.

 

I have completed the first step of training. I now have to wait on a trainer to get into the yard in Salt Lake.
