I also have an O/O and his wife whom i book at least 2 or 3 short haul loads per week, and i go out of my way to find them the best laods for their schedule. No one at C.H. is paid ona commission scale, it doesnt matter what i book you for cost wise. Maybe it is the drivers with poor attitudes and short fuses who are treated poorly and you need to adjust your attitudes. Everyone i work with has a few big cariers and many small 1-3 man O/O crews. These carriers get better paying loads because they have put in the work, have been coureous and patient and have developed a relationship with their broker. You cant expect to be paid what you think is fair on every load, when you are dealing with a service that has an elastic market.[/QUOTE]
