Chains, I don't need no stinking chains

    best way to secure track machines when the size or the tracks allows it. Other than that, I used to keep 4 very short chains in my box as well

    That'd be ok if you were just moving it a couple of clicks up the road for a gold mine, i wouldn't be happy with that set up for a long haul to many things could go wrong.

    About the same if not more than a chain. Even if using chains, you would need to use a binder. So by not using a chain, you aren’t creating a weak point

    I’ve got chains rated at 6600, 7200, 8800, 11,300, and 15,000. My binders are 15,000 but I’ve had them rated all the way down to 5400. My point is if the binders are sufficient then that load is perfectly safe and legal.
