In researching the insurance costs with a commercial truck, i came accross this info on what Progressive claims their premiums to be, state by state.

Has anyone set or changed their place of business to be a state with better insurance premiums, and perhaps even for better tax benefits?

The area PB dealer salesman said he’s heard of several customers doing this, as premiums can vary significantly.

Take a look at the link to get an idea of what some of these differences are. Might be worth renting a room from someone for a few hundred a month and having them forward any mail to you on a regular basis. Lol

Interesting rates on the link provided, I would like to see an updated rate sheet for 2017 or 2018. I'm in the same boat as you, they are quoting me $30,000/yr for one truck out of florida with a clean driving record. 9 yrs experience. I'm trying to get insurance in another state
